Welcome to my home page
I was born in Oberammergau, Bavaria, Germany. After graduating from the "Mathematisches Naturwissenschaftliches Gymnasium" in Murnau, south of Munich, Germany, I became a flight attendant for Lufthansa German Airlines.
Since 1975 I have lived in Loveland, Colorado. I received my teaching certificate for Elementary Education, and Middle School (Math and Science) in 1988 from University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. I have been a dedicated substitute teacher since graduation, mainly receiving requests in English, foreign languages, art and photography, math and science.
As an artist I make wooden signs with a router, have designed business cards, draw children portraits, and do tole painting.
My artistry has extended to include photography and senior portraits. I also consider myself a linguist. I speak and write German, English, and French fluently. I do accept translation assignments, and in the past have integrated my bi-cultural background successfully in those projects. I also can communicate in basic Italian and Spanish. I have taught German, French, beginning Italian and Spanish for small groups, as well as on an individual basis. It is very helpful that I have traveled to many countries where those languages are spoken. This enables me to make language learning more fun as I can include cultural and historical aspects of the different nationalities.
Occasionally, I find some free time to learn and attempt perfection in other languages, and I look forward to practice new-found skills during future travels with my husband. These trips also enable us to see our friends all over the world, beside keeping in touch by e-mail:

My son, Hans-Eric, has graduated from Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana. After living for a year in Denver, Colorado, he has moved back to Bozeman with his wife Diana. |
